Alice Spilman is a Policy Fellow within the Programme on Nuclear Responsibilities and an ESRC-funded PhD student based in the University of Birmingham’s Institute for Conflict, Cooperation and Security, commencing in September 2018. Her research interests include conceptions of nuclear responsibility and the possibility of empathy in conflict transformation. She completed an MSc in Global Cooperation and Security at the University of Birmingham in 2017, following a BA in Politics from Newcastle University.
