We are delighted to share that BASIC Co-Director, Marion Messmer, has been selected for the Arms Control Negotiation Academy 2021-22 Fellowship. The 12-month programme has been designed to provide high level professional development for rising experts in International Security focusing on negotiation, technological know-how and historical case studies. Building on her expertise in nuclear risk reduction and arms control, Marion will attend three negotiation boot camps, joining a network of ACONA Next-Generation arms control negotiators and obtaining a Certificate of Arms Control Negotiation.
Marion’s selection for the programme comes at a critical juncture in scoping the future of the arms control landscape, with emerging experts playing an increasingly vital role in this process. Marion joins a diverse and impressive list of ACONA 2021-2022 Fellows and we wish all Fellows the best of luck with the programme.
