On November 11, 2021 BASIC Co-Director, Sebastian Brixey-Williams, was invited to give his remarks to the Jeju Process, in Seoul. He spoke at the ‘Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Regime: 51 Years of the NPT Regime and the Future Forward’ session.
Sebastian’s remarks examine the past and future of the NPT regime through the lens of two forces – fragmentation and reconciliation – and he notably discusses the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), the Stockholm Initiative, the Nuclear Responsibilities Approach and the Emerging Voices Network.
