BASIC is pleased to become a member of the Rethinking Security Network, a community of policymakers, academics, and civil society organisations thinking holistically about how security policy can be shaped to be more equitable, just, and ecologically-grounded.
BASIC and Rethinking Security have just started a three-year project, ‘Turning Point: Realising a Sustainable Security Architecture in Europe’, which is situated in BASIC’s Risk Reduction Programme, led by Senior Policy Fellow Dr Gry Thomasen. Generously funded by the Polden-Puckham Charitable Foundation, the project aims to develop an integrative model for security that addresses the interconnectedness of climate change, interstate conflict, and human security in the European context.
