BASIC, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the Elliott School of International Affairs, NATO Watch, and Strategy International are holding a conference on May 14 and 15, a week before the NATO Summit in Chicago.

A Two-Day Civil Society Shadow Conference ahead of NATO’s Chicago Summit

Distinguished panelists will identify, discuss and share ideas concerning the future of NATO, including the implementation of the new Strategic Concept, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria, the deterrence and defense posture review, nuclear posture and deployment, NATO’s partnership programs in North Africa and the Middle East, relations with Russia and connecting the alliance with U.S. citizens.
