Participants in the conference then broke off into separate panel events, including discussions on nuclear power and the run up to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference in 2015.

The event will continue through March 22, and will address issues around Iran’s nuclear program and a WMD-Free Zone in the Middle East.

Updates and photographs will be posted on the event page for the conference.

The BASIC conference was being held at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar, with support from the UKFCO and Qatar.
